Esemble MidtVest creates exciting musical experiences in the tension between traditional chamber concerts and innovative outreach formats and with a focus on high quality and involving communication for children and young people.

Young, ambitious and dedicated classical musicians specializing in chamber music together form Ensemble MidtVest. Eleven award-winning individualists, trained from some of the world's best conservatories, who in the interaction merge into one ensemble, and convey a wide repertoire of classical chamber music works on an international level.

The ensemble was established in 2002 and is known for its ambitious and creative programming with a focus on artistic quality. The crew, which consists of a string quartet, a wind quintet and a pianist, offers flexibility and a rich opportunity for a varied and colorful program with different crew constellations: from an intimate duo to a sonorous nonet. Since the summer of 2009, the ensemble has lived at HEART – Herning Museum of Contemporary Art with its own concert hall, designed by the famous American architect Steven Holl.
