Herning Libraries

Herning Libraries are for the whole family. Check e-mail, read the newspaper of the day, buy a cup of coffee or take the children on a discovery in the children's library. 

The Herning Libraries consist of a main library and five local libraries. The library's primary goal is to be the municipality's open meeting, debate, experience and learning place with free and equal access for everyone to all offers in both the physical and virtual library.

At the library, it is possible to borrow books, music and films, read the latest newspaper and explore a wide range of digital services. Every week, the library runs a number of activities, exhibitions and events for both children and adults. We have a large club offer and weekly courses in IT and digital self-service.

The library is also places you can visit if you want to borrow a PC or if you need a study place. Here you can book a librarian and get help finding material for your next project or school assignment.

All libraries in Herning municipality have a wireless network. Anyone with a valid ID and a health insurance card can get a library card. With a library card, all the library's many online services can be accessed.
