The memorial park

The memorial park is Herning's finest ornamental park with hedge-encircled theme gardens and a memorial grove for the fallen during World War II.

The park was designed by garden architect Georg Boye and inaugurated on the date of Denmark's liberation, 5 May 1951.

A walk through the park is an experience. Here you will find the enclosed garden spaces that surprise with different themes and plantings.

The memorial park is a great place to be with children and for the quiet hiker who wants recreation and peace.
