The Danish Museum of Photography is situated in Herning. On several floors you will get an insight into photography and the camera's history. There are several annual exhibitions of contemporary themes or artists.

Jyske Bank Boxen is a multi-purpose arena, hosting a variety of events, including sports, concerts, shows and other entertainment. The arena has room for 12 to 15,000 seated spectators, depending on the event.

MCH Herning Exhibition Centre is a building complex, located in the south of Herning. It consists of 15 halls with 110,000 m² to indoor fairs, sport events, concerts, exhibitions and much more. The outdoor areas of MCH Exhibition Centre Herning are four times as big, these areas includes MCH Outdoor Arena and MCH Concert Arena.

HEART Herning Museum of Contemporary Art opened in 2009 in a brand new building designed by the American architect Steven Holl. The collection is based on the Danish and international conceptual and experimenting art from the 1930s to today. The museum's collection consists among other things of works by Piero Manzoni, Paul Gadegaard, Ingvar Cronhammar, Bjørn Nørgaard, Joseph Beuys, Mario Merz, Knud Hvidberg, John Kørner and Troels Wörsel.

Carl-Henning Pedersen & Else Alfelt Museum is an art museum located in Birk outside Herning. It was inaugurated in 1976 and has more than 4,000 works by the two artists, Carl-Henning Pedersen and Else Alfelt. In addition to the displayed works from the museum's own collections, special exhibitions with other artists associated with the Cobra Movement are arranged.

Herning Museum is part of the Museum Midtjylland. he museum gives an insight into the area's cultural history - from ancient to modern times. The museum has permanent exhibitions with different themes.

Textile Forum is a museum for textile and design. The textile industry in the middle part of Jutland grew up in the small and evolved apace throughout the 20th century. Textilforum tells the story of this industrial adventure - its buildings and people.

Søby Lignite covers an area of 1650 hectares and it is estimated that it produced about 50 million m³ lignite in the period from 1940 - 1970, where the lignite production ended. 

The area has sand hills, lignite excavations, lakes and the museum itself. The area is a relic of the 1940s, where there was an Klondike-city for the approximately 2000 persons associated with lignite mining. You can enjoy your lunch in "pavillion". Contact VisitHerning for guided tour.

Baboon City is the largest indoor amusement center in Denmark and covers more than 9000 m2. Chose between 200 different interactive attractions and enjoy plenty of active fun, togetherness and physical challenges for the whole family.

Ingvar Cronhammer's giant sculpture Elia was build to mark the millennium. The sculpture is also a manifestation of the will and the courage to walk new paths that have characterized Herning through decades.

The sculpture is shaped like a hemisphere with a diameter of 60 m, above which rises a ball cap of 11 m.
